African Union Commission Internship Programme (AU Headquarters, Addis Ababa) — deadline 31 December 2026

What: A full-time, unpaid internship at the African Union Commission in Addis Ababa. It lasts 3 months and can be extended once by another 3 months. Interns give administrative and technical support in AU departments and directorates. Who can apply: Nationals of AU Member States, including Ethiopia. You must be a final-year Bachelor's student, a postgraduate student, or a graduate (Bachelor's or Master's). You must be fluent in at least one AU working language and aged 22 to 32 (no older than 32). You must have no serious criminal record. No work experience is needed. Deadline: 31 December 2026 Cost: Free to apply Funding: Unpaid. The AU gives no stipend, per diem, travel money or living costs. Interns must pay for their own travel, housing, living costs and insurance. The AU will try to help with visas. How to apply: 1. Go to the official AU job post (jobs.au.int, Req Id 1506) or the AU Careers portal (careers.au.int). 2. Register and create your profile. If this is your first time, you must sign up before you can log in. 3. Download the AU CV template, fill it in and upload it. Using this template is mandatory. 4. Upload your supporting documents and send your application online before 31 December 2026. 5. Wait for the confirmation email, then check your application status on the portal.
